Today, July 29, 2025, marks the 42nd anniversary of the marriage of media icons Betty and Soni Irabor.
In a long Instagram post, she described how she and her husband have experienced both prosperous and difficult times.
She wrote;
FOR RICHER, FOR POORER
We’ve walked through both seasons of abundance and times of need.
We’ve faced prosperity and adversity, hand in hand, anchored by faith and fortified by love.
IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH
From the pain of secondary infertility to the heartbreak of miscarriage…
Through the darkness of depression and the storm of a stroke — we stood together.
Unrelenting. Unshaken. Honouring the vows we made, choosing each other again and again.
TILL DEATH DO US PART
That part is beyond our control, but by God’s grace, we continue to journey together.
42 years on… and I still want to grow old with you, Soni boy.
Thank you for being my biggest career cheerleader, faithful companion, and dearest friend.
When I tell my friends and family about your good deeds, they say,
“Betty, you honour your husband — that’s why he honours you too.”
We thank God for honouring us both.
It’s been an honour to be your wife, Soni.
In any case, what would you do without me???
