‘Bored & Drunk’ Russian Troops Shots 10yrs-Old Ukrainian Girl To Death

A 10yrs-old innocent Ukrainian girl was killed immediately after Russian troops got drunk and began shooting at random.

Anastasia Stoluk, known as Nastya, was killed after the soldiers reportedly started shooting at houses in the village, and fired into the family’s house.

The family was later forced to bury her in the yard after soldiers prevented her mother, Luba, from going to the cemetery, the girl’s cousin Anya Stoluk told The Times.

An uncle who was with her was also hit and hospitalized, but the family has been unable to get info on his condition.

Anya told the newspaper Nastya died in Shybene, about 40 miles north of Kyiv, on 28 February.

She said she last spoke to Luba on the day Nastya died and could hear her cousin’s voice in the background. During their conversation, Luba said Russian forces had arrived in the village but that everything was calm.

The following day, Anya was told of Nastya’s death.

Anya’s adoptive mother Vera Dmitrienko, 40, told the newspaper: “People say that the soldiers just got so bored. They were even telling this to people in the village. They looted all the stores in the village, of course, they got a lot of alcohol from the stores and got drunk and started shooting.

“They shot into Nastya’s house, she was there with her uncle, and she died immediately. Her uncle was taken to hospital and we still don’t have any information from him.”

The soldiers started shooting at houses after a teenage boy found a gun and shot it in the air, Ms. Dmitrienko said.

She added: “The soldiers heard it but since they were so drunk they didn’t know where it was from so they just started shooting everywhere they could see.”

After the shooting, Anya, who has now made it out of Ukraine, said she had been told by a friend in Shybene that Russian soldiers had taken away residents’ phones, there was no electricity and food had run out.

Nastya is one of the dozens of children who have been killed in the war in Ukraine since it started 13 days ago.

The UN Office of Human Rights confirmed 1,207 civilian casualties in Ukraine in its update on Monday. The figure included 27 children that have been killed.

On Sunday, Olena Zelenska, the wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, posted several images of children who have been killed in the conflict.

In the post, she claimed that 38 children have died as a result of Russian attacks.

“The Russian occupiers are killing Ukrainian children. Consciously and cynically.”

She added: “We need corridors in the hottest cities in Ukraine right now! Hundreds of children die there in basements without food and medical care. Russian soldiers shoot families who try to leave the buildings. They also kill volunteers who try to help.”
