Brain Jotter, a Nigerian content creator, has complained on social media about being harassed by “agberos,” or Lagos touts.
In a post on his Instagram page, Brain Jotter bemoaned the event.
The content creator posted a video of himself being harassed by some thugs in his car on a Lagos road to vent his frustration.
In the video shared by Brain Jotter, one of the touts was heard boasting, “I be lion”.
Lamenting the incident, the content creator wrote, “Lion no dey use eyes see goat. Nigerian zoo keepers are the worst. We lack good wild-life and they let a lion escape from their zoo. This is sad.”
It is clear that such harassment of celebrities by Lagos touts is unacceptable and must come to an end. No individual, regardless of their status, should have to endure intimidation or abuse simply for going about their daily life. It is imperative that authorities and community leaders take firm action to prevent these incidents from happening in the future. Respect and safety for everyone must be prioritized, and measures should be put in place to ensure that celebrities and ordinary citizens alike can live and work without fear of harassment. This reckless behavior cannot be tolerated any longer; it is time to put an end to it once and for all.
