Bruce Willis Celebrates 68th Birthday With His Family Following Dementia Diagnosis

Yippie! American Legendary Actor; Bruce Willis clocks 68 today.

A month after it was revealed that Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, he celebrated his 68th birthday in the company of his family.

The Hollywood actor can be seen singing happy birthday with his kids, his ex-wife; Demi Moore, and his wife Emma Heming, before blowing out the candles on an apple pie in a video shared by his Demi Moore.

Moore, 60, a ghost actor, added the following to the Instagram post:

“Happy birthday, BW! So glad we could celebrate with you today. Love you and love our family.

“Thank you to everyone for the love and warm wishes – we all feel them.”

Actress Heming also posted a lovely montage of images of her spouse spending time with his family and having fun with his kids on Instagram.

She captioned the post: “He is pure love. He is so loved. And I’ll be loving him always. Happy Birthday my sweet. My birthday wish for Bruce is that you continue to keep him in your prayers and highest vibrations because his sensitive Pisces soul will feel it.

“Thank you so much for loving and caring for him too.”

In a video posted previously, the model acknowledged that her first tears of the day were caused by how difficult his birthday was for her to handle, but she insisted that she wanted to highlight all aspects of caring for a loved one with dementia.

“Today is one of those days of feeling grief and sadness. But the silver lining or the flip side is that I’m so lucky to feel your warmth and love that is directed to my husband and our family”, she wrote.

“I see your messages, your stories that you share, and all I can say is thank you.

“Your connection helps me and I hope it helps you in a small way to know that I see you and I deeply understand your journey as well.”

Following a diagnosis of aphasia, a condition that affects his cognitive abilities, Willis’ family announced last year that he would be “stepping away” from his lucrative career. Willis is best known for his roles in the Die Hard series, Pulp Fiction, Armageddon, Moonrise Kingdom, 12 Monkeys, and Looper.

His family provided an update on his health in a post they published on Instagram last month, stating that his condition had “progressed” and that he had been given the “more specific” diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

Willis has five children, the three eldest of which he shares with Moore, whom he wed in 1987, are Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. They still get along well after divorcing in 2000. The couple has two daughters: Mabel and Evelyn.

The same video of everyone chanting happy birthday was posted by Rumer to commemorate her father’s birthday with the caption: “Happy Birthday Daddio.” You have my undying love. You are awesome.

But, Scout added the following explanation to the video in her post: “Today has been PROFOUNDLY JOYFULLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!! THOSE WHO CELEBRATE HAPPY BW’S BIRTHDAY!!!!

Happy birthday to my numero uno Bruno!! Tallulah posted a collection of pictures of her father from over the years on her Instagram account.

“Feeling overwhelmed by all the positive vibes and love coming Willis’s way! What a joy that I love him and that he loves me!

Happy Birthday, Bruce Willis. We love you!
