Chika Ishionwu has been officially declared winner and returned elected as the All Progressives Congress flagbearer following the conclusion of the party’s primary election in his constituency.
The returning officer made the announcement after collation of results, confirming Ishionwu’s emergence ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The declaration sparked jubilation among supporters and loyalists across the constituency, who described the outcome as recognition of Ishionwu’s deep grassroots connection, political credibility, and commitment to constituents’ welfare.
