Davido Pays Chioma’s Bride-price In Full In Ezeala Odu, Imo

Singer Davido finally paid Chioma’s bride price (umunna) in full in Ezira Odu, Imo State.

The singer paid her full Umunna group in Owerre off Nkworji Ezeala in the state of Imo.

Photos and videos posted online showed Chioma’s father performing Umna and Umuada rituals.

The second stage of an Igbo marriage is the Umunna ceremony, a meeting between the groom’s family and the bride’s extended family. This meeting is important. This is because those on the groom’s side must confirm their interest in marriage by the future bride’s family in the presence of the Umunna (near relatives and relatives, family elders). Once approved, a traditional wedding date will be set and the bride’s price list will be sent.

The groom receives gifts such as kolanuts, palmwine, beer, softdrinks, tobacco, snuff, and goats shared by the groom’s and bride’s families.

Davido traditionally marries Chioma
Agnesisikablog reported that she traditionally got married in November after Davido and Chioma lost their son.

Agnesisikablog claimed that the singer secretly married Chioma after her son’s death.

Few family friends were present at the traditional wedding, which took place at his father’s house, and no cameras were allowed. According to the blog, Chioma’s bride price was paid in full.

Remember, Davido vowed to marry her Chioma next year, but the singer married her soon after the tragedy that happened.

A traditional wedding took place on November 6th to comfort Chioma and secure her place with Davido.
