Davido Reveals How He Copes With The Loss Of Loved Ones

The well-known Nigerian musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has shared his thoughts publicly about how he copes with the loss of a loved one.

The singer is no stranger to sorrow; in a short period of time, he lost his mother, Mrs. Victoria Imade Adeleke, at the age of 11, his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, age 3, as well as friends Tagbo, DJ Olu, Obama DMW, and personal photographer Fortune.

In a recent New York interview with Mystery Fashionist, Davido revealed that despite the catastrophes, his faith has kept him going.

“I have lost a lot of people. I lost my mum at the age of eleven. I’m just being strong. I did a song called ‘Stand Strong.’

“I feel like strength and obviously, my faith has kept me going,”
he said.

Davido also addressed some misconceptions about him.

“I think sometimes, people think I am not approachable. Another misconception is that people also think I am too accessible.

“I grew up in a big family, I’m used to having people around me. My talent and success is God-given,”
he explained.

The song is ended but the melody lingers on. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
