Argentina has been named the 2022 FIFA World Cup champions after defeating France in the championship match.

La Albiceleste and France were tied 3-3 at Lusail Stadium after 120 minutes of play.

First-half goals from Lionel Messi and Angel di Maria gave Argentina a 2-0 lead, but Kylian Mbappe’s two goals in the second half forced extra time.

Messi then scored for Argentina in the closing minutes of the second half of extra time, before Mbappe completed his hat-trick to send the match into a penalty shootout.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup was eventually won by Argentina 4-2 in a penalty shootout.

Lionel Messi wants to “continue playing as a champion” and has no intention of leaving international football anytime soon.

Christopher Nkunku, a forward for RB Leipzig, has officially signed with Chelsea and will make his debut for the club in 2023.

Nkunku had been closely associated with the Stamford Bridge team for some time, and Chelsea finally secured their man after the transfer was finalized on Saturday.

The French star had 20 goals and 15 assists In the Bundesliga last season.

Nkunku’s Leipzig contract featured a £53 million release clause, but according to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues paid an additional £10 million to close the transfer quickly.

Nkunku’s signing is Chelsea’s first major acquisition of the Graham Potter era, with the former Brighton manager replacing Thomas Tuchel in September.

Manchester United Terminates Deal With Their Shirt Sponsor.

A £235 million shirt deal between Manchester United and TeamViewer has been reportedly terminated.

The Premier League team are now seeking a new shirt sponsor.

Investors had criticized the German technology company for its massive five-year contract with the Red Devils.

United and TeamViewer have decided to end their agreement after months of negotiations, as soon as a replacement shirt sponsor is identified.

However, they will still be a “global partner” until the conclusion of their contract in 2026.

The club said in a statement, “After a period of collaborative, private discussions over the past months, Manchester United and TeamViewer AG have reached a mutually beneficial agreement under which Manchester United shall have the option to buy back the rights to the club’s shirt front sponsorship.”

The TeamViewer agreement, which was signed during the COVID-19 epidemic, was United’s second-largest business partnership, as it is eclipsed by their £750 million kit deal with Adidas.
