December 5th: Weekly Catch-Up On Naija’s Political Drama: Nollywood Actor Prays N*ked At A Beach For Tinubu (Video); Wike Threatens Atiku (Video); Tinubu Avoids Arise TV Presidential Town Hall Meeting; Others

Tinubu, Again, Avoids Arise TV Town Hall Presidential Meeting.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), once again, avoided the Arise TV presidential debate, which featured Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Peter Obi (LP), and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (NNPC).

Tinubu announced on Saturday, through his presidential campaign council, that he wouldn’t be participating in any debates held by the TV network, which he claimed was biased towards him, and further urged his supporters and representatives to boycott the TV channel.

On the eve of the event, the APC candidate left Nigeria just as his media team announced that he was travelling to London for an engagement at Chatham House.

Meanwhile, Atiku, Obi, and Kwankwaso took turns to speak on the general subjects of education, healthcare, poverty, and human capital at the third series of the ‘Arise TV Town Hall Meeting’, while also answering questions from the panellists, who included senior journalists and development experts.

They all came to the conclusion that subjects like healthcare, education, and the development of human capital need serious attention in the country.

Furthermore, they acknowledged that in order for the government to function at its best and for Nigerians to escape poverty, the rising budget deficit must be addressed.

2023: Nollywood Actor, Ebun Oloyede Prays Nked For Tinubu At A Beach (Video).*

Nollywood actor Ebun Oloyede, aka Olaiya Igwe, went n*ked at a beach in order to request divine intervention from higher powers for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), to win the upcoming general election.

The actor posted a video of himself praying n*ked for the APC chieftain on the beach on Friday.

Olaiya Igwe passionately prayed in the video to his creator for Tinubu to win the election in February 2023.

He requested that the candidate’s vote be as much as the water of the Ocean.

The actor prayed in Yoruba, “God, I’m calling on you because of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Let him win the forthcoming election, get him to the post. I internationally came to the beach to beseech you (God), the most merciful. Let Tinubu’s vote be as much as the water of the ocean. Don’t put us (APC) to shame.”

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, according to Olaiya Igwe caption, is the best candidate because he upholds principles and the highest ideals.

The actor also encouraged Nigerians to help Tinubu bring the nation back on its feet.

Olaiya wrote, “It is my pleasure to support a candidate, who truly reflects our values and highest ideals. There is one candidate in this election who will protect that dream.

“One leader, who will fight hard to keep the promise of Nigeria for the next generation. And that’s why we must stand up and make Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Jagaban, the next president of Nigeria.”

Yakubu Dogara Dumps APC For PDP.

Yakubu Dogara, a former speaker of the House of Representatives, has rejoined the main opposition party just a few days after endorsing the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The former congressman was welcomed into the party at a presidential campaign rally in Lagos State on Monday.

The development comes just 48 hours after Dogara and several irate northern APC officials expressed their support for the former vice president’s candidacy for president.

Dogara had also been appointed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign council (PCC) before he left the APC.

On Sunday, the PDP PCC’s director general and the governor of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal announced Dogara as a newly appointed member of the campaign council.

Gov Wike Threatens Atiku, Warns His To Control His Party Members.

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has cautioned the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to tell his party campaign council members to stop insulting the G-5 governors.

The governor issued the warning, stating that the Integrity Group and the G5 will not hold back in retaliating against any further attacks.

He said this on Monday, during a speech at the flag-off of the Indorama-Agbonchia-Ogale-Ebubu-East/West Link Road in Eleme local government area of Rivers State, by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, a former governor of Ondo State.

He claimed that the G5 governors love peace and that they think all party members should share this mindset in order to jointly cooperate to ensure the party’s electoral success in the elections of 2023.

Wike said: “Now, what I want to tell the presidential candidate of PDP is we need peace. We want all of us to be together for the party to win election. But let me say clearly, if your boys continue to attack the G-5 (governors), continue to attack the leaders of our party, we will strike back.

“If anybody again dares in the PDP Presidential Campaign Council to insult the PDP governors G-5, insult our leaders of Integrity Group, we’ll fight back. Enough is enough.”

The governor added that it was absurd for individuals who left the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the difficult time to tell him and his allies what to do within the party.

He said: “We want peace. All we want is equity, fairness and justice. Nobody should take us for granted. I cannot understand people who just left APC two days ago, two weeks ago, are talking about PDP that we stayed and suffered to build the party. Even if anybody will talk about us, not these miscreants.”

Wike added that Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, a former House of Representatives speaker, is a man who cannot be trusted to keep his promises.

The governor promised that he would soon make public the details of the conversations that Dogara and Babachir Lawal, the former secretary of the federal government, had with him while they were guests at his home.

He said: “At the appropriate time I will talk about how Dogara and Babachir visited me and what we agreed. You know what I don’t like in life is people that don’t have character. I can’t stand it. At the appropriate time, I will challenge them for a debate.”

“Dogara was to see me. Unknown to me, he gave me an excuse and I was watching Dogara on TV being received by President Muhammadu Buhari that he has gone to APC.”
