Desmond Elliot, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly who represents Surulere I, has pulled out of the current All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries.
The announcement was made just minutes ago by the actor-turned-politician, who claimed that his followers were being intimidated and kept out of the process.
“My name is Desmond Elliot. In all zones, they have been intimidating and stopping us. I want to officially announce my withdrawal from this particular race. This is my ward, if you go outside, those are my people outside, and they have not been allowed so I am officially announcing my withdrawal from this race. Good luck, thank you,” he said.
I believe that Desmond Elliot made this decision after thorough consultation and careful consideration. It is evident that he prioritized peace and stability, and I feel that withdrawing from the primaries was the best course of action for him at this time. His commitment to ensuring harmony reflects his dedication to the well-being of his community and the political process.
