DHQ Confirms Emergence Of New Terrorists’ Group In The North

The formation of a new terrorist organization called “Lukarawas” in Northwestern Nigeria has been verified by the Defense Headquarters.

During his remarks on military activities on Thursday, November 7, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, Director of Defense Media activities, revealed this to reporters in Abuja.

According to Buba, following the coup that resulted in the disintegration of Nigerian and Niger military cooperation, a new terrorist organization arose from the Republic of Niger.

He claimed that, especially following the Niger Republic coup, militants from the Mali and Niger Republic axis started invading northern areas of Sokoto and Kebbi States.

He said the militants were repelled by coordinated border operations with Nigerien security forces prior to the coup.

“The terrorists took advantage of the gaps in cooperation between both countries and exploited difficult terrains to make incursions in remote areas in some North Western states to spread their ideology,” he said.

According to Buba, the villagers took the group in since they first believed it was a good thing for them. However, they neglected to notify the military and security services about the movement.

He gave Nigerians the reassurance that their troops had ongoing ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance) capabilities to weaken terrorists. He went on to say that the terror group has persisted in using the large, poorly controlled areas to annoy the population and conceal and elude troops.

Troops are tracking them down and removing the threat, he said.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
