DJ Cuppy Speaks On Her Love For Pink

Nigerian Disk Jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has stated that Trinidadian rapper, Nicki Minaj, has remained her biggest inspiration for 12 years.

She added that without Nicki Minaj, there would have been no DJ Cuppy.

In a tweet on Friday, DJ Cuppy explained how Nicki Minaj also influenced her love for the colour pink.

Pink is known as DJ Cuppy’s signature colour as her hair, apartment, cars, and other belongings are of the same colour.

According to Cuppy, she fell in love with the colour after seeing Nicki Minaj’s video for the song, “Massive Attack”, in 2010.

Cuppy noted that she had never seen anything like that video, adding that the rapper was still her biggest inspiration 12 years after the video’s release.

“I’ve never actually explained how I fell in love with the colour pink. Well, it was When Nicki did her debut video for ‘Massive Attack’ I had never seen anything like it,” DJ Cuppy tweeted.

She added, “12 years later and Nicki is still my biggest inspo(sic).There would be no Cuppy without @NickiMinaj.”

Her revelation has erupted massive reactions from fans, and her name “Cuppy” made it to the Twitter trends on Friday.

Reacting to the trend, DJ Cuppy tweeted, “I’m TRENDING, I don’t know why.”
