Dr Nzeribe Okegbue Empowers Ikwuano Farmers with Agricultural Grants

Ikwuano farmers received a significant boost on Saturday, 15 February 2025, as Ambassador Chief Nzeribe Okegbue, PhD, through the Nzeribe Okegbue Foundation (NOF), empowered 25 beneficiaries with financial grants to enhance agricultural productivity and food security in the local government. The event, which coincided with the birthday of the sponsor, was held in grand style, drawing dignitaries from various sectors across Ikwuano.

The beneficiaries, drawn from the four clans of Ikwuano, included seven farmers from Ariam Usaka, six from Ibere, six from Oboro, and six from Oloko. Each beneficiary received a grant of One Hundred Thousand Naira to procure seedlings for cultivation, an initiative aimed at improving agricultural output and enhancing the livelihoods of local farmers.

The atmosphere at the event was one of excitement and gratitude, as beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation for the support, praying earnestly for the benefactor, Ambassador Chief Nzeribe Okegbue, PhD.

A major highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the seed money in cash to the beneficiaries. This was conducted by the leadership of the Nzeribe Okegbue Foundation, led by the Coordinator, Mr Henry Dube, who was assisted by his deputy, Mr Kenneth Kalu, and clan leaders within the foundation.

The agricultural empowerment initiative marks another milestone in the philanthropic and developmental strides of Ambassador Chief Nzeribe Okegbue, PhD, whose commitment to the economic upliftment of Ikwuano remains consistent.

The programme is expected to contribute significantly to food security and sustainable agricultural development in the area.
