DR. UCHE OGAH DONATES ₦10M, AUTOMATIC JOBS FOR CLIFFORD UNIVERSITY ACCOUNTING GRADUATES IN LANDMARK EMINENT PERSONALITY LECTURE.

CLIFFORD UNIVERSITY, Ihie in Abia State, came alive on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, as former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, DR. UCHECHUKWU SAMSON OGAH (Ph.D., FCA, CON, OON), turned the institution’s Eminent Personality Lecture Series into a landmark day for students and management. In a dramatic and emotional moment during his keynote address, DR. OGAH announced a ₦10 million donation to the university, drawing thunderous applause from the packed auditorium. He went further to unveil a life-changing gesture: every Accounting graduate of CLIFFORD UNIVERSITY will enjoy automatic employment in his business establishments after completing the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), a pledge that instantly positioned the institution as a stronger launchpad for young professionals.

Beyond the figures, DR. OGAH framed his intervention as an investment in Nigeria’s Future, stressing that Education remains the strongest foundation for Development, Empowerment and Nation-building. He challenged the private sector to go beyond rhetoric by funding universities and creating direct pathways from classroom to workplace, so that brilliant graduates are not stranded in the job market. University authorities described the donation and Employment guarantee as a “transformative milestone” in CLIFFORD UNIVERSITY’S history, aligning perfectly with its mission to produce highly skilled, employable graduates. For many students in attendance, the day was more than a lecture – it was a turning point that showcased how visionary philanthropy, strategic partnership and faith-based Education can converge to give Hope, dignity and real opportunity to the next generation.

This unprecedented donation by DR. UCHE OGAH not only cements his reputation as a visionary Philanthropist and Nation-builder, but also sets a powerful example of how Nigeria’s private sector can practically tackle Youth unemployment through targeted investments in Education and skills. As CLIFFORD UNIVERSITY steps into a new era of opportunity for its Accounting graduates, stakeholders will be watching to see how this bold model of donation-plus-employment can be replicated across other institutions – turning lectures into lifelines, and campus dreams into tangible careers.
