Egypt To Deliver 200 Trucks Of Aid To Gaza

Egypt has stated that when the four-day cease-fire begins on Friday, it will supply 30,000 litres of diesel and four trucks of petrol to Gaza.

Diaa Rashwan, the chief of Egypt’s State Information Service (SIS), also declared early Friday that 200 trucks of aid will enter Gaza on a daily basis.

Since the beginning of the war, Egypt, which shares the Rafah border crossing with Gaza, has used the crossing to allow relief to Gaza.

The border crossing has been utilised to transport third-country nationals from Gaza to their respective nations.

Most Islamic countries have also set up field hospitals near the Rafah crossing to treat Palestinians who have been injured.

Israel has previously bombed the border (on the Palestinian side), but with the truce, there is hope for unfettered passage of aid and people as the ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel goes into force on Friday.

Egypt has stated its view on Israel’s displacement of Palestinians.

A few days ago, US President Joe Biden told Egyptian President Sisi that Palestinians would be in charge of Gaza and that no refugees would be relocated to the Sinai Peninsula.

Fearing a massive influx of refugees and a potential Israeli incentive to annex Gaza, numerous international leaders have urged Israel’s administration, led by Netanyahu, to clarify and make their goals clear following the Gaza conflict.
