Elon Musk Denies Alleged Affair With Google Co-Founder’s Ex-Wife

Tesla boss; Elon Musk has denied allegations in a series of tweets that he had a brief affair with the wife of his longtime friend, Google co-founder; Sergey Brin.

Elon Musk is laughing at the reports that he was the reason behind the divorce between Google co-founder Sergey Brin and his wife; Nicole Shanahan. Unbothered Musk sent a photo of him happily hanging out with his longtime friend even as rumors spread.

“It’s total BS. Sergei and I are friends and were at a party together last night!” Mr. Musk said in response to a Twitter user sharing a wall street journal report of the alleged affair

“I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with so many other people around. Nothing romantic,” the SpaceX chief said.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the report alleged that he and Mr. Brin filed for divorce because of Mr. Musk’s affair with entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan.

The couple, who married in 2018, reportedly cited “irreconcilable differences” filing Joe’s notes at the Superior Court of California in Santa Clara County in January that the couple separated on December 15, 2021.

“I hope that Sergei and I will move forward with dignity, honesty, and goodwill for the sake of our child. And we are both working in that direction,” Ms. Shanahan told news website Puck earlier this month.

WSJ reported that there is “increasing tension” between the Tesla chief and the Google co-founder and their teams.

It alleged that Mr. Brin had in recent months instructed his advisors to sell off their investments in Mr. Musk’s companies.

Mr. Musk hit out at the outlet in a series of tweets.

“WSJ has driven so many BS hit pieces at me and Tesla I’ve lost count! It’s embarrassing for them, frankly,” he said in response to a Twitter user.

“The WSJ is considered a high standard for journalism and right now, they are all tabloids. WSJ should run stories that matter to their readers and have a solid factual basis, not random third-party rumors,” he said in another tweet.

The Tesla chief remains the world’s richest person with an estimated net worth of more than $220 billion, and Mr. Brin is the seventh-richest person in the world with an estimated net worth of $107 billion.

WSJ The report comes after months of public scrutiny into Mr. Musk’s personal life as well as his business deals.

In May, the billionaire denied allegations that he sexually assaulted a flight attendant at his aerospace company SpaceX, and Business Insider reported this month that he fathered twins with an executive at his neurotech firm, Neuralink. He attempted to buy a majority stake in Twitter before exiting the deal.

The Tesla chief is set to face a court showdown with Twitter in October after Mr. Musk legally completed his $44bn acquisition of the social network after losing a bid to delay the platform’s lawsuit against him.

His EV company also faces a federal investigation into its autopilot system, which has been involved in at least 16 accidents, resulting in 15 injuries and one death.
