Embracing our weaknesses

Embracing our weaknesses

Oftentimes, we are all too likely to project our strengths over our weaknesses. This is because it is counterintuitive to put our weaknesses forward. To make it worse, the world holds us to high standards of ‘near perfection’, making us have even stronger reasons to hide our weaknesses.

If weaknesses were bad, Paul wouldn’t have boasted about, and delighted in them. God’s perfect nature makes up for our MANY weaknesses. This is the understanding Paul had that made him even more vocal about his weakness and the indispensibility of God’s help.

As a matter of fact, God can use our weaknesses to promote His Kingdom, just like He did with Moses when he commanded him to go and speak to Pharaoh despite his speech defects.

Essentially, the strength that God provides in our weakness far transcends whatever strength we can muster on our own. So, let us embrace our weaknesses and allow God to strengthen us in ways we could never have imagined.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
