Exercise Caution!

Exercise Caution!

This is a new year, and many people seem to have a strong desire to go forward. Many people are about to embark on a new career path, a new job, or a new relationship. This impulse to explore and move into ostensibly better options may be admirable.

But, before we go any further, we must ask: into what? It is sometimes far better to wait than to rush into another misstep. While God may be pulling on our hearts to move on from past hurts caused by toxic prior relationships or unsuccessful careers, He may not be urging us to rush into another. It is critical that we take the time to discern which path God wants us to take.

Moving forward without God might often feel like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. God urges us to exercise caution when we make big decisions this year.

Have a blessed week!
