Ex-convict Confesses Of Raping Five Girls In Six Months After His Release From Prison

A 35-year-old ex-convict in Adamawa State, Wilson Sunday, has confessed to defiling five girls between eight and 13 years old within the last six months.

Sunday, who is now in the custody of the police after he was arrested by the Adamawa State Command, told operatives at the state Police headquarters in Yola, “I have raped five girls”.

The suspect, who resides at Damilu, a community in Yola North LGA, and once convicted for rape, specified that he defiled the minors at different times from January 2023 after regaining his freedom from prison.

In a statement obtained Thursday night from the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the police said that the suspect usually picked his victims as they were going to or returning from school and would lure them into an uncompleted building and have carnal knowledge of them.

The police said that Wilson’s latest act was reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters in Kofare, Yola, by the parents of the victim.

The police statement described him as a father of two who now lives alone after he separated from his wife.

The statement said that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, had directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over investigation and prosecution.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
