Ex-partner Of Manchester United Player Asks For His Suspension

Gabriela Cavallin, an ex-partner of Antony, a Manchester United attacker, has requested the team to officially suspend him following claims of domestic abuse against the winger.

The player’s ex-partner Gabriela Cavallin, a model, claimed that he assaulted her four times, in addition to being accused of assaulting two more women in Brazil, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana. He has refuted all wrongdoing.

Brazil has left 23-year-old Antony off of their national team roster in preparation for games against Bolivia and Peru. United, his club, has not yet taken any action, however.

The player who came for £85.5 million from Dutch club Ajax in September 2022 and is paid almost £150,000 a week must be fired, according to Cavallin, who made her comments to The Sun on Sunday, September 10.

She said: “Antony must be taken off the pitch. It’s disappointing that he’s still allowed to play while an investigation is underway.

“I’m absolutely devastated by this whole process. How can life go on as normal for him? They can’t know what they know now and do nothing. He has to be suspended.”

As police investigations in Manchester and Sao Paulo continue, Antony gave a sad interview on Brazilian television on Friday in which he vehemently denied the accusations and vowed to vindicate his name.

United declined to comment on the situation on Thursday night after releasing a statement on Wednesday stating that it “acknowledges the allegations made against Antony” and “are taking this matter seriously.”

Cavallin, 22, responded to United’s announcement by questioning why the organization waited three months after she made the charges in Brazil in June before making an official statement.

She added: “Why did it take United three months? It’s just not OK.

“I prefer not to believe such a huge club, with such serious and professional people, would cover up a situation like this.”
