Excited Queen Delights Guests At Platinum Jubilee Event

Queen Elizabeth II has delighted fans with her attendance at the final night of ‘A Gallop Through History” at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the first event of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The queen attended the Platinum Jubilee celebration on the private grounds of Windsor Castle, walking from her vehicle to her seat with the use of a cane. She was transported to the Royal Windsor Horse Show event in her personal Range Rover on Sunday night, accompanied by Territorial Army officer and friend Simon Brooks-Ward.

The monarch walked from her vehicle to her seat in the royal box for the ‘A Gallop Through History’ performance with the help of a cane. The evening was split into four parts covering 400 years of history – from Queen Elizabeth I’s reign through to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

Her Majesty, 96, met with hosts from the evening including Bridgerton’s Adjoa Andoh and gardening TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh.

There was no hiding how happy Queen Elizabeth looked as she arrived at day two of the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The excited Queen beams as she attends her favourite annual event.

Queen Elizabeth who recently pulled out of attending the State Opening of Parliament over “mobility problems” was seen using a walking stick as she made her way to the royal box.

The star-studded event, which included horse displays, comedy, and singing and acting performances, featured Dame Helen Mirren, Tom Cruise, and Sir David Jason. The event encapsulated the history of the monarchy from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen Elizabeth II.

Majesty sat alongside longtime friend Penelope Knatchbull, Countess Mountbatten of Burma, and youngest son Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex in the royal box at Home Park. The monarch was awarded the winners cup, which she accepted with giddy delight.

The Queen’s horse Balmoral Leia, a five-year-old grey dun mare, won the Highland Class 64 event before later being announced supreme champion.
