Falconets Fight Back To Keep U-20 World Cup Dream Alive

After a goalless draw with China at Arena Sosnowiec in Poland, Nigeria’s Falconets are still in the running for a spot in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup knockout stage.

After losing to Spain 2-0 in their first game, the outcome gave Nigeria their first point in Group F.

As both teams settled for a share of the points, the Falconets had opportunities against China but were unable to convert any of them.

China was in second place in the group with four points going into the match after defeating New Caledonia 5-0.

With six points in the standings, Spain has already secured a spot in the Round of 16.

Before achieving one of the biggest victories in the tournament’s history, the European team defeated Nigeria 2-0 to start the competition.

On Sunday, September 13, Nigeria will play their last group match against New Caledonia. The Falconets must win to continue their campaign.

Their World Cup journey may come to an end if they lose another point.

The Falconets’ resilience and determination in this crucial match demonstrate their unwavering spirit and passion for the game. As they continue to chase their dreams on the international stage, let’s rally behind them and show our support. With their talent and hard work, there’s no limit to what they can achieve. Keep believing, Falconets – your journey is just beginning!

Live with Purpose, Love with Passion. Remember to be happy
