Falz Discusses The Mechanism Of Self-Care

The well-known Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, has stressed the importance of self-care in preserving happiness and general wellbeing.

Falz discussed his philosophy of self-care in a recent interview on Osas Ighodaro’s Spa with Osas show, emphasizing the value of engaging in joyful and peaceful pursuits

“I think self-care comes in a lot of different dimensions, so it’s caring for your mind, caring for your body, and caring for your spirit,” he said.

Falz defined self-care as caring for one’s mind, body, and spirit, and shared his personal approach: “For me, I would say that I try to soak myself in things that give me pleasure and put me at peace. Things that inspire me and keep me happy, you want to stay in a happy place; you don’t want to feel unhappy or like something is missing.”

“The last couple of years have taken a toll; it’s just life. By the time you cross 30, you start to observe things about your body. It may be your stomach today, then your ear or knees, so you have to pay attention to your body”, he said.

He stressed the importance of rest and sleep, stating, “If you don’t rest, you will collapse… Rest is very important, and so is sleep. You can’t cheat nature; and if you’re not well rested, you can’t function. Rest is very important and so is sleep,” he explained.

Self-care is the practice of individuals looking after their own health using the knowledge and information available to them. It is a decision-making process that empowers individuals to look after their own health efficiently and conveniently.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
