Fayose Disowns Brother On Social Media Over Atiku Abubakar

Politics seems to be tearing the relationship between former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and his younger brother, Isaac apart.

The two had a conflicting view over Atiku Abubakar, People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate on social media.
Isaac had taken to social media to appeal to Atiku to return his presidential ticket to the party secretariat.

He added that the former Vice President should rather use his power to back a younger person in the party in the forthcoming election.
He further stated that it is better for Atiku to make his son the vice president than for him to contest as a presidential candidate.

His outburst obviously did not go down well with his older brother, Fayose who is a PDP chieftain. He took to social media to distant himself from his brother’s comment.
He said, “Mr Isaac Fayose’s comment on Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is sad and underserved.
I seriously dissociate myself from such comments and make bold to say he is on his own.

“Most importantly, sharing the same surname does not imply my complicity in his sad narrative. What God had made Atiku Abubakar positively, no man can unmake. I enjoin the public to ignore him”.
Not long after his post, his younger brother also replied him,

“Dear Brother, I am surprised that you dissociated yourself from my comments about power shift to the south because of your political affiliation with the PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
“But I wondered why you did not dissociate yourself from my comments concerning Seyi Makinde and Dino Melaye all because it was in your favor.

“Sir, blood ties goes way beyond politics and I think I am old enough to have my own opinions on issues. I wish you well in your future endeavors and I still remain your brother”.
Not done with his response, he made another post where he compared some other politicians who are siblings but have had different political views in the past but did not disown each other.

“Abubakar Bukola Saraki in PDP, Senator Gbemi Saraki in APC, nobody dey disown each other. But my brother disowned me yesterday because I said I don’t want Atiku Abubakar, nawa oo.”
