FG Declares June 12 Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Thursday, June 12, 2025, a public holiday to commemorate Democracy Day. According to the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, this year’s celebration marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s democratic journey, highlighting the nation’s progress since the return to civilian rule in 1999.
