Final Year Student Dies A Day Before His Final Papers

Abubakar Bilyaminu, a final year student at the Federal University Dutsin-ma in Katsina State, passed away on Monday evening, December 12, 2022, a day before his final papers.

The late student, popularly known as Abu Alhaji, was scheduled to write his final exam on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, according to classmates.

The sad news was also confirmed by the Students Union Government (SUG) in a statement issued by the administration of Rt. Comr. Abubakar S Ahmad.

The statement read: “With heavy hearts and grieve we announce the Demised of our friend and brother Abubakar Bilyaminu, a final year student of BSc Physics in Federal University Dutsin-ma, who passed on yesterday 12th of Dec, 2022.

“The Students Union Government sincerely condole with pain and grieve to our students, family and friends and pray that God Almighty forgives all his sins and grants him space in paradise. May the soul of the Late Abubakar Bilyaminu rest in Jannah Firdausi. Amin. Accept our heartfelt condolence.”

Ibrahim Yakatun, a friend of the deceased, wrote in a Facebook post: “O Allah, forgive this our dear brother and friend Abubakar Bilyaminu who is together with us at Federal University Dutsin_Ma Katsina State, and at the same time a final year student of B.Sc. Physics.

“Indeed, Death is inevitable and verily we belong to Allah and truly to him shall we return. This our dear brother and friend is supposed to write his final year exams today and graduate together with his fellow coursemate, But unfortunately passed on yesterday night, May Allah elevate his station among those who are guided, send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, O Allah, enlarged for him his grave and shed light upon him in it.

“May Allah shower all our loved ones who have passed with all His forgiveness and mercy, and may He elevate their status and grant them Jannatul Firdaus. May He give us the ability to do good that benefits them in their graves and may He soothe the aching and grieving heart.”
