Frank Lampard Praises Nigeria’s Alex Iwobi Over Outstanding Performance

After Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup victory over Fleetwood Town, Everton boss Frank Lampard has once again showered Alex Iwobi with praise.

Demarai Gray, who scored the game’s sole goal, was assisted by Iwobi, with the Nigerian international being awarded Man of the Match following the game.

According to Frank Lampard, “Alex is playing at a really high level where he plays – midfield, higher up the pitch – and he works off the ball and he’s a huge player for this squad.”

“We’re delighted with his performances and since I’ve been here he’s been getting better and better. He’s started the season in great form,” the manager told Everton’s official webpage.

Iwobi has been among the Toffees’ best players this year.

He has participated in all three Premier League games for the Merseysideiders this season.
