Friend Reveals Cause Of Attack On Nigerian Student Allegedly Killed By Chinese In Philippines

The life of a promising Nigerian medical student in the Philippines has been cut short by some evil Chinese guys. The deceased identified as Ikem, ” Ikechuckwu Emmanuel” was allegedly brutally murd£red by a group of Chinese in the Republic of Philippines.

A friend of the deceased, identified as Michael Ojuola, on X, made this known on his page on Sunday.

Adding a crying emoji, the tweep wrote, “A friend of mine, a Nigerian medical student named Ikem studying in the Republic of Philippines was brutally murdered by a group of Chinese. They tied his hands up, covered and tied his mouth and (he) was beaten blue-black until he gave up the ghost.

“This should never be allowed to get swept under the carpet regardless of the relationship between the Philippines and China. This is so inhuman and barbaric! I can’t even think straight at the moment because of the horrific videos I’m getting right now from the hospital.”

The tweep called on the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, and the Nigerian Senate among others, to intervene in the matter.

He went on to reveal that the money they were supposed to give him and his Filipino girlfriend was at the heart of the whole controversy.

“The company where he works where it all happened is currently closed by these Chinese people and are on the run at the moment! This whole issue is centered around payment they were supposed to pay him and his Filipino girlfriend.”

Ojutola urged Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, and all relevant parties to address the matter.

NiDCOM replied to Michael’s tweet asking if he had brought the matter to the Nigerian embassy’s attention.

The incident has sparked outrage among Nigerians, who have taken to social media to express their anger and sadness. The hashtag #JusticeForIkem has been trending on Twitter, with users calling for the perpetrators to be held accountable for their actions.

This is so disheartening! Nobody should be treated like this. May God console his family and loved ones and may his soul rest in peace, Amen.
