DJ Obi has slammed Banky W for announcing his intention to run for a seat in the House of Representatives on the Peoples Democratic Party’s platform.
While most celebrities hailed Banky W, the DJ has accused him of wanting to be everything, despite the fact that the country requires “real politicians.” Obi also stated that Nigerians require “solid men” in order for the country to function.
He said, “Anywhere breeze blow you dey there. Today pastor, tomorrow artist, next tomorrow politician. Next week deliverance ministry, next month new single on the way. ABEG! We need real politicians. This is not a popularity contest. We are serious about our country, Nigeria is on the verge of getting on the path of greatness, we need solid men that are willing to lose it all for this nation to work and work well. Recall that Banky W ran for the Lagos State Eti Osa Federal Constituency seat in 2019 under the platform of the Modern Democratic Party, but he lost.
