Guinness World Record Confirms Hilda Baci Broke World Record

Nigerian chef Hilda Baci has established a new Guinness World Record for the largest portion of Nigerian-style jollof rice, with a weight of 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds, 9 ounces).

The achievement, accomplished on Friday, September 12, in Victoria Island, Lagos, has been officially verified by Guinness World Records (GWR).

On Monday, September 15, Guinness World Records announced the accomplishment, stating, “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

Prior to the event, Guinness World Records had sent a message of support to the Nigerian celebrity chef as she embarked on the record-breaking attempt on Friday.

The record organization commented, “What’s cookin’?

“Best of luck to @hildabacicooks who’s attempting a new record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice today.”

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
