Happy Golden Jubilee My ‘Ade Ori’

Birthday Shoutout

Happy Golden Jubilee My ‘Ade Ori’

I was exposed to and heard a lot about some women’s relationships with their husbands as a child. And I used to wonder if these husbands were compelled to marry their wives or if these females were the ones who asked their husbands out.

I recalled that whenever I thought back on this topic, the popular Nigerian musician Asa’s song from the 1990s, “Oju Ife Lo, maje ki enikeni tan e o,” which means: “It is more than love, do not allow yourself to be deceived by anyone,” used to come to mind.

Happy Golden Jubilee My ‘Ade Ori’

I discovered from this song that marriage is more than just love. That these men, who ultimately mistreated their wives, had once expressed affection for them. Marriage is more than just love, and only God can choose one’s partner.

God answered my prayer and put you in my way. You are such a loving husband and a wonderful father to our kids. So compassionate and understanding. You are such a perfectionist. You are a brilliant organizer. A great, and selfless leader, full of wisdom and energy. I’m curious to know what kind of strength you possess. I have still to figure out how you managed to coordinate the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of our Parish while also acting as a Laity Charman. Always prepared to give up your time and resources for the benefit of God, your family, and friends.

For your new age, I give thanks to God, because today is your 50th birthday. I offer a prayer for God to keep and bless you in the future. May He look upon you with favor and may His face shine upon you always. I pray that He stays with you always. The love and peace of God be with you always. God bless you and may He grant you a golden life.

I and the kids love you so much. Thank you for your love and care.
