Here Is Why South Africans Refuse To Buy Burna Boy’s FNB Stadium Show Tickets

South Africans may be quick to forgive, but they don’t forget.

Self-proclaimed African giant; Burna Boy postponed his show a few days before it was supposed to take place at FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.

It is assumed that the show’s postponement was caused by the low ticket demand. Only 60% of the tickets were sold, according to the Burna Boy, which is underwhelming for an artist of his caliber.

Despite the fact that he is an internationally recognized performer, inviting him over a Heritage weekend, which is undoubtedly jam-packed with many events, was a recipe for disaster.

South Africans love their culture and there was no way they would miss out on enjoying a long weekend with their loved ones for Burna Boy, especially not after he disrespected the South African government.

Yes, South Africans have forgiven him for that episode, but they still remember that Burna Boy once said he would never step foot there.

It is clear from the response of the general public that many people did not purchase tickets for his performance because they intended to teach him a lesson.

“Burna Boy postponing his show doesn’t sit well with me, I wanted him to perform in an empty stadium,” commented @PfareloMulondo.

He added: “Can’t piss on South Africans then think we’ll support your sh***, spreading lies then go as far as saying you won’t put your foot in SA ever again?

“I don’t know how our government even allowed him to come back because now the whole continent calls us Xenophobes.”

Burna Boy responded to those making fun of him by pointing out that he had been in South Africa the year prior and would be there shortly.

“I was in South Africa the previous year, and I had 100,000 of the most attractive South Africans waiting outside for me, so no dead agenda can agend. South Africa, I’ll be back to see you shortly. On his Instagram story, he stated, “I adore you.

According to rumors, the impending Burna Boy performance will most likely occur on December 16. The question of whether he will receive the required backing is still open.
