Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has formally started her quest to prepare the largest pot of jollof rice in the world, setting a new Guinness World Record in the process. His goal is to prepare roughly 250 bags of rice.
The ambitious endeavor started in front of a boisterous gathering of admirers and supporters at the Eko hotels in Lagos by the record-breaking chef, who became well-known throughout the world in 2023 after shattering the record for the longest cooking marathon.
Hilda and her mother were spotted praying together before the cooking started, requesting divine fortitude, protection, and perseverance.
Many of the viewers who witnessed the heartwarming scene praised Hilda’s mother as a crucial pillar of her path.
“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making,” she wrote.
