Hit-And-Run Driver K!lls One In Lagos

An anonymous guy was killed by a hit-and-run vehicle at the Onipanu Bus Stop in Fadeyi, Lagos State, on Funsho-Williams Avenue.

The disaster occurred on Saturday, September 14, 2024, about nine o’clock at night, according to Nosa Okunbor, Head of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency’s Public Affairs Unit.

Okunbor claims that after striking the victim, the driver of the car left the scene, as confirmed by an eyewitness.

He continued by saying that the LASEMA team raced to the location to save the victim, who had suffered a head injury, as soon as they received the report.

But in spite of the Pre-Hospital Care Unit staff’s best efforts, the victim passed away from serious injuries.

“Upon the arrival of the Agency’s Response Team at the scene, it was observed that an adult male had been hit by a vehicle with an unknown registration number, and the driver absconded immediately after the incident,” he said.

“The victim, an unidentified adult male, sustained head injuries and was given urgent medical attention by the Agency’s paramedics before being swiftly transported to the Trauma Centre, Gbagada, for further treatment.”

The man died while seeking emergency medical care at the Trauma Centre in Gbagada.

According to the LASEMA spokesperson, the deceased’s body was turned over to officials from the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit for further action.

“The body was bagged and handed over to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit office at Bolade Bus Stop for further action,” he added.

A Gentle Reminder: Every obstacle is a stepping stone, every morning; a chance to go again, and those little steps take you closer to your dream.
