“I Am Still Looking For My Running Mate” – Tinubu

Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate, has stated that he is still looking for his running partner.

He made the statement while speaking at a celebration honoring the 60th birthday of the House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajambiamila, on Sunday in Abuja.

While praising the teamwork between the Speaker and his deputy, Idris Wase, Tinubu remarked that politicians should take note of how the pair have managed to keep a positive relationship going since they took office.

Tinubu said, “You are a very good symbol of unity and honesty.

“Thank you for both of you; you have not rocked the boat and we need to learn from both of you how you made the pair work because I’m still searching for my running mate.”

The APC submitted Kabiru Masari as its choice to be the former Lagos state governor’s running mate for the 2023 presidential election to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

A Muslim-Muslim ticket, which some important players believe is the only way the APC can win the 2023 Presidential election, has drawn a strong backlash.

Tinubu also commended Gbajabiamila for the part he played in the APC’s selection of him as its presidential candidate.
