“I Don’t Consider Myself A Feminist” – Ini Edo

Ini Edo, a well-known Nollywood diva, has explained why she does not identify as a feminist.

The well-known actress gave her opinion on the “Tea With Tay” podcast.

Ini Edo says that she believes that equality between the genders is necessary and that the protection of women’s rights is essential.

She did, however, claim that she was raised in a way that valued and respected men.

In part of her speech, she said, “I’m not a feminist, being a feminist means different things to different people, I love to protect women’s rights and I feel the need for equality.

“But I’m also very structured and I am raised in a certain way, I am raised to respect men, I am raised to value men. I want to be a woman but I also want to be able to be a queen, you can be a king, and I am a queen; I am just comfortable in being a queen.”

Ini Edo began her film career in 2000 and has been in over 100 films since then.

The actress got married to Philip Ehiagwina, an American businessman In 2008. After six years of marriage, the couple divorced in September 2014.

In the year 2021, Ini Edo had her first child, a girl, via surrogacy.

In my opinion, the current feminism movement around the world is a sham. I believe it is aimed at destroying the marriage values in society.

The recent movement is an abuse and insult to the actual fight for women’s rights.

Instead of advocating for the women who are abused in society, modern-day feminists prefer to make arguments about silly things.

They don’t want to be answerable to their husbands yet marriage is not by force, they claim that there is no equal salary pay between men and women in society but take career paths that pay lesser, and many more pointless arguments from women who don’t want to be responsible for their actions.

I believe the movement is a scam and a threat to a functioning society.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
