“I Don’t Want To See Him in This Cloth’s Again”, Judge Warns DSS On Nnamdi Kanu

“I Don’t Want To See Him in This Cloth’s Again”, Judge Warns DSS On Nnamdi Kanu

Binta Nyako, a judge of the Abuja Federal High Court, has issued a strong caution to DSS agents in relation to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

The judge stated that she does not want to see Kanu dressed the same way he has been since his arrest last year.

She ordered that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), be allowed to change his clothes by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Nyako had previously ordered the DSS to allow the IPOB leader to bathe anytime he wanted, change his clothing, eat properly, and practice his faith.

However, Kanu’s main attorney, Mike Ozekhome, claimed to the court on Tuesday that his client is still being treated badly in DSS custody.

Kanu is still being held in solitary prison, according to him, and any detainee who greets him is also being held in solitary confinement.

Nyako told the defendant that a detention center is not a five-star hotel moments before adjourning the case.

She did, however, maintain her previous ruling that the IPOB commander is given as much comfort as possible, including the opportunity to change his Fendi clothing from when he was brought back into the country in June 2021.

“I don’t want to see him in these clothes again. This one is almost off-white. Also, make sure that you allow him to exercise,” the judge said.
