Award-winning Nigerian musician, Simisola Kosoko better known as Simi has revealed how her husband, Adekunle Gold’s occupation could have negatively affected their relationship.
The ‘Gone For Good’ singer said that when they crossed paths at an event, she never knew that Adekunle Gold was also a musician, which was a red flag for her.
According to the mother of one, she vowed never to marry an artiste, not knowing at the time of their courtship that her man fell under such category.
Simi, who made the disclosure during the latest episode of Tea with Tay podcast hosted by media personality Taymesan, also said Adekunle approached her as a fan.
She added that despite not being aware that the ‘Five Star’ cooner was a music act when they met, she agreed to date him because he was a really nice guy.
“I didn’t know my husband was singing when I met him because I already said I cannot marry a singer. I thought he was even a fan. He used to do this ‘King of Photoshop’ that time.
“He sent me a message on Facebook but I never saw it nor did I reply. I sensed that he would be good for me.”
Marriage is not about age or the occupation they do but it’s about finding the right person. When it comes to your partner, you have to choose the right person, knowing you can live with them for the rest of your life, learning from each other and grow in every way.
