“I Only Have One House To Retire To Daura” – President Buhari

Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), the president of Nigeria, stated on Sunday that he will only have one property in Daura to retire to after his term ends in May 2023.

He said, “I haven’t built an extra house in Daura. Those who know me know that I have one house and that is where I will retire to.”

Buhari made this statement while hosting a sizable group from the Abuja community at the State House in Abuja, which was headed by the FCT minister, Mohammed Bello.

The President declared that, after leaving office, he would retire to Daura, in the Katsina State region, far from the hub of political activity in 2023.

The FCT minister thanked the President for welcoming his neighbours for one final time in his earlier speech.

Bello anticipates gratitude that the meeting was held after it was postponed for two years, 2020 and 2021, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that the Christmas visit would be the final during the Buhari administration.

During the visit, Stephen Panya, who spoke on behalf of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Vice President of the CAN, and the President of the Evangelical Church Winning All, stated that the Christian community is “fully supportive” of Buhari’s efforts to help Nigerians escape poverty.

He said, “The Christian community is fully in support of your efforts and praying that God will bless your effort to end the suffering of your citizens and to help you finish well.”

A senator from Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi also sent a letter of goodwill to the President.

The meeting’s highlights was a presentation of a life-size Christmas card bearing the signatures of the FCT minister and his deputy, Ramatu Aliyu on it.
