“I Will Restructure Nigeria In 6 Months” – Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has promised that if he wins the presidential election, he will restructure Nigeria within six months of taking office.

Atiku claimed that the necessary amount of research had been completed to bring about restructure which Nigerians have long asked for.

He made this statement at the PDP Presidential Diaspora Campaign Grand Finale held in Abuja.

The former vice president was represented by Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, the former National Chairman of the PDP, but currently the PDP’s residential Campaign Council’s Deputy Director for Research and Strategy ( PCC).

Atiku Abubakar asserted that Nigeria operated more effectively when each region was in charge of its natural resources.

According to the former vice president, socioeconomic advancements were made possible when regions had authority over their resources.

He said, “When we are talking about restructuring by Executive Order, in the first six months, this country will not be what you are seeing today.

“This has been worked out and I’m just waiting to be sworn in on May 29 and the plans will be rolled out.”

He claimed that Nigeria was a wonderful nation and added that all it needed was strong leadership.

“We will provide that kind of leadership,” he declared.

Furthermore, Atiku declared that if elected, he would save Nigeria from all metrics that had painted it in a negative light.

He outlined his five-point plan, which included education and security, and promised to reestablish the nation’s security by putting a stop to the causes of the rise in violent crime.

Prof. Isa Odidi, director of the PDP PCC’s Directorate of Diaspora Groups, had earlier stated that Nigerians living abroad believed Atiku would develop and implement the Diaspora Policy Framework to enable the country capture, harness, and use their skills.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
