IGP Extends Deadline For Enforcement Of Tinted Glass Permit

IGP Extends Deadline For On Saturday, June 14, Ukraine and Russia conducted their fourth prisoner of war (POW) exchange within a week, as confirmed by both parties, under agreements Of Tinted Glass Permit

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has authorized an extension of the grace period for the enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit until August 12, 2025.

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement issued, noted that the extension aligns with the Police’s dedication to providing transparent, inclusive, and citizen-centered policing.

He confirmed that the Nigeria Police have taken into account the concerns of Nigerians who requested an extension, stating that, “these voices have been instrumental in guiding ongoing reviews of the process to ensure it remains user-friendly, secure, and accessible to all.”

“The extension of enforcement is also intended to give room for additional enhancements and refinements to the application process, ensuring that no member of the public is unduly disadvantaged.

The NPF is actively working to simplify and improve both the physical and contactless application options including enhanced verification mechanisms and streamlined procedures to reduce delays and eliminate undue inconveniences.”

He reminded the public that the official platform for applying for and renewing the Tinted Glass Permit is available at ‪http://www.possap.gov.ng‬.

“Citizens are also encouraged to report all unauthorised or hidden charges as well as extortion in the course of application or biometric capturing to the appropriate Police authorities, including via the dedicated hotline: 09169967000.

Adejobi reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to public safety, digital innovation, and ongoing improvements in service delivery, while expressing gratitude for the cooperation and patience of Nigerians “as these reforms are carried out.”
