Israel Bombs Areas Where It Told Palestinians To Run To

Israel bombed southern Gaza, killing dozens of people, following warnings from Israel to evacuate in anticipation of an impending invasion.

Residents in Gaza reported that after intense attacks outside the southern cities of Rafah and Khan Younis, those hurt in the airstrikes were taken to hospitals.

Former health minister and top Hamas official Basem Naim claimed 30 people were killed in Khan Younis and 27 in Rafah.

Around 50 bodies were brought to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, according to an Associated Press reporter. Families arrived to retrieve the bodies, some of which were covered in blood and wrapped in white bedsheets.

Nine members of a family were killed when an airstrike in Deir al Balah reduced their home to rubble. In a nearby house, three members of another family who had fled Gaza City were killed. 11 women and kids, as well as one man, were among the deceased. Witnesses reported that there was no prior warning of the strike.

According to the Israeli military, it was going after Hamas infrastructure, command centres, and hiding places.

“When we see a target, when we see something moving that is Hamas, we’ll take care of it. We’ll handle it,” said Richard Hecht, an Israeli military spokesman.

However, if Israel approaches a ground offensive, the foreign minister of Iran warned that “pre-emptive action is possible.”

Since the militant attack on southern Israel on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,400 people—mostly civilians—and the abduction of about 200 hostages in Gaza, Israel has surrounded and bombed the Hamas-run territory.

According to the Health Ministry, at least 2,778 people have been killed and 9,700 injured in Gaza as a result of Israeli strikes.

The attacks have not stopped Hamas terrorists from continuing to launch rockets from Gaza at Israel.

Health officials reported that they believe another 1,200 people from Gaza are buried beneath the debris.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
