Jamie Foxx Shares And Explains His New Life Mantra

After overcoming a horrific health scare last year that left him hospitalized for months and with memory loss, actor Jamie Foxx has shared his new “mantra” on life.

Following a serious medical incident in 2023, the Hollywood star inexplicably vanished from the spotlight and the set of his action-thriller Back In Action. The 56-year-old hasn’t gone into great detail about what happened to him, but he previously revealed that a group of admirers at a restaurant had sent him to the hospital after he took an Advil for a headache.

Jamie claimed that he was “gone for 20 days” after taking the drug and that at one time he was unable to walk at all.

Jamie shared a simple image of the words “No bad dayz” on his Instagram page after his recuperation, which he claims is his new motto. “This is my mantra,” he wrote as the caption for the photo.

After overcoming an experience I believed I would never have… I got this phrase from my dear friend James, who is also my manager. I now live by it. The light seems brighter when you emerge from the shadows. Additionally, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who offered prayers. I required it. The father of two continued by promoting his new comedy special, “What Had Happened Was…” on Netflix.

Jamie will be revealing what happened to him last year and making his triumphant return to stand-up comedy in the program.

In October of this year, Jamie staged a three-night live comedy event in Atlanta, Georgia, where the special was taped. The former star of Django Unchained picked this particular venue because it was the same place where he received medical attention.

Jamie expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who attended his gigs on Instagram after they ended.

“I haven’t performed on stage in eighteen years, but I needed the stage and an audience composed of nothing but love, and that’s what you were,” he wrote.

When people ask me ‘Is this a stand-up comedy show’? I say no it’s an artistic explanation. Of something that went wrong, but thanks to the great people in Atlanta especially Piedmont Hospital you enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most.”

We are so glad to see you bounce back fully!!

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”
