Jimmy Kimmel To Host The Oscars In 2023

Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the talk show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, has been invited to host the 95th Oscars Academy Awards in 2023, making it his third appearance at the ceremony.

The show’s producers announced on Monday, November 7, that Kimmel, who hosted the ceremony twice before, in 2017 and 2018, will do so in March.

The Academy hired Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall as its three main presenters in 2022, while from 2019 to 2021, there was no official host for the show.

Commenting on the invitation, Kimmel said in a statement: “Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap. Either way, I am grateful to the Academy for asking me so quickly after everyone good said no.”

The Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy president Janet Yang said in a statement, “Jimmy is the perfect host to help us recognize the incredible artists and films of our 95th Oscars. His love of movies, live TV expertise, and ability to connect with our global audiences will create an unforgettable experience for our millions of viewers worldwide.”

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
