Just Do It – Monday Motivation

It is good to remember that whenever the Lord tells us to do something, He gives us the needed power to carry out such assignments, even when His commands are in the realm of what looks impossible.

As revealed in the scripture, Jesus met at least two men who were paralyzed and on both occasions He told them to get up and carry their pad. As they exercised the will to obey, power flowed into their lifeless limbs.

Peter sensed that if the Lord Jesus bade him to come on the water, then he could walk on water. As soon as Jesus said “Come,” Peter went down out of the ship and walked on the water.

The story of Jesus feeding 5,000 people with a few loaves and fishes is an almost impossible case. But when Jesus said to the disciples, “Give them to eat,” the impossibility vanished.

You cannot experience the power behind God’s word when you don’t yield to His command. Even the red sea wouldn’t part until the children of God walked towards it at the Lord’s command.

As God commands us to do the unusual this week, we should never cop out with the plea that we cannot do it. If He tells you to do something, just do it! His commands are always accompanied by the necessary power to make things happen.

Today's Quote

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
