Cristiano Ronaldo, the star player for Juventus, has spoken out against reports tying him to a move away from the Italian giants.

In an Instagram post published on Tuesday, the Portuguese footballer described speculations tying him to clubs from various leagues as “disrespectful” to all of the teams involved.

Juventus, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and now Manchester City have all been linked with a bid for the Portugal international.

However, the former Madrid and Manchester United player stated, “Those who know me are aware of how focused I am on my work. Less talk and more action, this has been my guiding motto since the start of my career. However, in view of everything that’s been said and written recently, I have to set out my position.”

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has stated that rumors about his future are nothing more than a show of contempt for him as a person and as a player in general.

Ronaldo expressed his displeasure with the “frivolous” manner in which his future has been discussed in the media, saying that it demonstrates a lack of respect for all of the teams involved, as well as their players and staff.

Former Real Madrid’s star forward has stated that despite his numerous accolades in the round-leather game, and even throughout his trophy-laden nine-year stay at the club, he has a strong passion for and respect for the club.

He stated that he has maintained this respect to this day and will always treasure it and that he is confident that true Real Madrid supporters will continue to hold him in high regard.

Ronaldo claims that no one has expressed an interest in learning about his decision and that the only news he receives is “regular news and tales associating him with a lot of clubs in a variety of Leagues.”
