Kalu Inaugurates 20,000 Renewed Hope Partners In Abia

A New Era of Transformation

In a powerful display of grassroots mobilization and political momentum, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu inaugurated over 20,000 members of the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP) in Bende, Abia State.

This historic event marked a significant milestone in the nationwide expansion of the Renewed Hope Agenda, with Abia State now formally onboarded as a strategic hub for the administration’s outreach and implementation efforts in the Southeast.

A Movement Anchored on Progress

Kalu described the RHP initiative as a transformational movement to ensure the full reach of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the Southeast and beyond. He commended the Tinubu administration’s economic policies, highlighting key achievements such as:

  • GDP growth of 3.84% in Q4 2024
  • Sharp drop in inflation from 34.6% to 23.71%
  • Increased investor confidence amid ongoing foreign exchange reforms

A Step Towards Healing and Development

Kalu celebrated the recent establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), calling it a long-overdue step toward healing and development in a region still grappling with the aftermath of the civil war. He noted that this development fulfills a long-standing promise to the Southeast region.

A Call to Action

Charging the newly inaugurated RHP members to act as “ambassadors of transformation,” Kalu urged them to be the bridge between government and citizens, amplifying the voice of democracy and fostering inclusion at the grassroots level. He emphasized that hope requires action, not just words and that progress results from sacrifice, resilience, and unity of purpose.

A New Phase of Nationwide Expansion

The inauguration marks a new phase in the Renewed Hope Partners’ nationwide expansion, with Abia State poised to play a key role in the administration’s outreach and implementation efforts in the Southeast. As the Renewed Hope Agenda continues to gain momentum, one thing is clear: the future of Nigeria is being shaped by the collective efforts of its citizens.
