Kanye West Pulls Out Of Coachella Music Festival

American rapper, Kanye West has pulled out of Coachella, meaning that he would no longer be headlining the music festival as earlier planned.

According to TMZ, sources connected to West said he’s decided to pull the plug on his performance at the event which is set to hold from Friday, April 15 to Sunday, April 24.

While his reasons were unclear, Ye, as he is legally known, had earlier threatened to pull out of the festival in February if fellow headliner Billie Eilish did not apologise to his colleague, Travis Scott.

While performing at a concert, Eilish had paused her show to help a fan who needed an inhaler. She also said, “I wait for people to be okay before I keep going.”

West perceived this as an insult to Scott who was currently embroiled in legal battles after 10 people died, and several more got injured during his Astroworld Fest concert in November.

As earlier reported by The PUNCH, the rapper seemed to be moving out of public eye to get help amid his divorce with Kim Kardashian.

West was banned from Instagram for 24 hours in March after he insulted comedian Trevor Noah.

This followed Noah’s criticism of Ye, over his incessant online harassment of his ex and her new partner, Pete Davidson.

Sources told New York Post that “for the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better.”

His “concerning online behaviour” led to Grammy barring him from performing at the event which held on Sunday.
