Keanu Reeves Claims He Has Always Desired To Play Wolverine

Keanu Reeves, a well-known Hollywood actor, has stated he has never regretted declining a part, although he has also acknowledged, “I did always want to play Wolverine” in the superhero genre.

Hugh Jackman, 54, recently appeared as the Marvel character in the 2017 stand-alone film Logan after portraying the role in eight X-Men movies between 2000 and 2016.

Following the success of the first two movies, he will return as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3 movie with Ryan Reynolds in the lead role as the foul-mouthed anti-hero.

Reeves was questioned during a Reddit AMA about if he had ever turned down a position that he later regretted. He answered: “ No… but I did always want to play Wolverine.”

Reeves has acted in several superhero movies, most notably the 2005 DC adaption Constantine, which he claimed he would like to return to for a sequel.

Reeves responded, “Yeah, and me too,” when a fan inquired if he had discussed Constantine 2 with James Gunn, head of DC Studios, adding, “Hope we get to see it.”

The 58-year-old John Wick actor also shared that working with the late American actor Patrick Swayze on the 1991 smash hit Point Break was his favorite memory.

Reeves also admitted that despite owning “the watch and wedding ring from John Wick, a sword from 47 Ronin, and the first red pill that the movie ever gave out, he had never stolen anything from a set.”

He was a gentleman and a total pro, a movie star, an inspiration,” Reeves said.

Reeves also revealed he had never stolen anything from a film set but was in possession of “the watch and wedding ring from John Wick, a sword from 47 Ronin, and the first red pill that the Wachowskis ever gave me”.

Speaking of the latest instalment of John Wick, he said the film was the “most challenging to shoot” but “it has the most action, gloriously”.

When asked what director, actor, or actress he would like to work with in the future, Reeves said: “Let’s go with David Fincher today.”

The Hollywood actor also had a great response when asked, ‘What is your favourite film that you’ve worked on?’.

He wrote: “Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! F***, aaaaaahhhhhhhhh…I’ve been very fortunate to work on a few films that have changed my life.

“I can’t pick just one. But here are a few – River’s Edge, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Matrix trilogy, The Devil’s Advocate, A Scanner Darkly, My Own Private Idaho, Point Break, John Wick.”
