Kim Jong Un Calls For Increased Weapons Production Amid Rising Tensions

According to official media, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has urged his nuclear experts to enhance the development of material suitable for use in bombs.

The launches on Monday occurred just hours before a US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier and its battle group trained with South Korean warships in the vicinity of Jeju Island.

On Tuesday, the USS Nimitz and the other warships docked in the Busan port on the South Korean mainland.

After a record year of nuclear testing, North Korea has already launched more than 70 missiles in 2022.
